Working with our computer supplier EMIS we are able to offer a secure method of internet access to the practice using ‘Patient Access’. Once registered for this service you are able to book/cancel appointments, order repeat prescriptions and view parts of your medical record online. To use Patient Access you can click here to register online.  This will allow you to book and appointment but you will not be able to use all facilities until you have received a confirmation letter from us.

Alternatively you can obtain , a registration letter from us. This will give you a pin number, which is necessary to set up your account.

You can ask for this registration letter by choosing one of the following methods.

1. Clicking on the above 'request Patient Access' tab

2. In person at reception by completing an Patient Access registration request form.

Please note you will need to provide some form of identification in order to register online.

We will then send you by post a registration letter, after verifying the information provided. The letter will contain an access code and PIN number, unique to each patient, which you will need to have with you when you first register online. You must enter your personal details in exactly the same format as on the registration letter. Full instructions will be provided on the registration letter.

Each adult aged 16 or over must request their own registration. Parents/guardians may register their children under 16, however once the child reaches the age of 16 the access will be stopped and they will have to request their own registration. Children aged from 12 to 16 may request their own registration.

We take the security of our patients' information very seriously. All communications via Patient Access are encrypted. Only you can see the personal information you enter. Remember to close the browser after use, especially if someone else could access your computer.

Once you have created your Patient Access account you will be able to view a range of available routine appointments and choose the best one for you.

When you book an appointment online you will receive confirmation immediately. There is no need to check your booking by ringing the surgery.

You can also cancel appointments and change your address. (Change of address requests are subject to authorisation by the practice to ensure the patient is still within the practice area).

You will also be able to order your repeat prescription by highlighting the required medication. You can also track the progress of your request. Please remember to specify where you would like to collect your prescription.

When accessing your account you will be able to see at a glance any current booked appointments and/or prescription requests.

You will be able to view parts of your medical record, which are allergies, test results, medications and current problems.

If you wish to simply cancel an appointment please click on the above 'cancel appointment' tab
