Update on Blood Tests

Over the next few weeks there will be some changes to the blood test service at the Wall House Surgery.

Currently, our clinic is run by one of our Health care assistants. In order to expand access for other important clinical services we are re-configuring these clinics. This will mean more access to appointments for dressings, health checks and chronic disease monitoring which is vital to ensuring good care. To do this we will be reducing the number of blood test appointments available at the surgery. We will prioritise those we have for patients who would truly struggle to attend East Surrey Hospital or Crawley phlebotomy clinic.

Blood tests can be taken at East Surrey and Crawley Hospital clinics. They are open between 08:00 and 18:00 Monday to Friday and you do not require an appointment. For children under the age of 10 please call 01737 768511 and ask for extension 8600 to book an appointment. Children over 10 can attend the main clinic.
To attend the hospital clinics you will need your blood test form. We can email or text you a copy, you will need to download and print this to take with you. If you cannot print the form at home it will be available from reception or in the appointment with the clinician requesting the test.

Please note requests for tests for consultant specialist teams and private clinics should be organised by their team. This helps ensure the right test is done, at the right time and the results go to the right person as they remain their responsibility to review and act upon.

Many thanks for your continued support.
